Remember the Double Helix Run–Walk Club?
Your friends in the Affy Employee Advocacy Committee would like to re-ignite your interest in the run-walk club.
Read on to find out why you should be excited about this.
We are inviting all enthusiasts from Affy for a run-walk at the Big Sur Half Marathon. http://www.bigsurhalfmarathon.org/site4.aspx
Furthermore, we would like your input to build on the following ideas.
- Affy will cover the registration fee for the first 25 runners walkers signing up
- We have created a blog
- Look in there for
1. Weekly tips from your friends at Affy and other experts
2. Training plans
3. Running Logs
- Practice runs may be scheduled in the AM/PM by sub-groups within the club
- On race day, Affy will consider organizing a bus to Monterey
- Affy Shirts in technical fabric with the new logo for participants
- The event offers its own Shirt and Medal as well
- There will be a ‘Shopping Day’ with help from Sports Basement
There are more ideas out there, so, let’s hear them. Let’s get the word out so we have a few weeks to train.
